Cynthia Lennon, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and Geri Miller at the Peppermint Lounge after The Beatles performed on The Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964🌻🌻🌻
Geraldine Miller was born on April 27, 1942 in Clifton, New Jersey. After graduating from high school in 1960, she became a go-go dancer in New York City, working at clubs Peppermint Lounge and Carnival for many years. She met The Beatles at the Peppermint Lounge on February 9, 1964 and after her shift took a break, Geri continued to dance and hung out with Ringo until he had to go and she had to go back to work. Geri invited him to her apartment - he came before she got home and was with her until 7 AM for breakfast until Ringo had to go back to the hotel (it's been said they dated twice). Once referring herself as a Super Groupie, Geri was with Rod Richards from Rare Earth, James Brown, and hung out with Lou Reed, Mick and Bianca Jagger. By 1968, Geri then became part of Andy Warhol's entourage, working as an actress in his movies. She later married music producer Jimmy Miller (no relation) and was a mother of two children, Steven and Michael, before passing away from breast cancer in 1991🌻🌻

The Shape of Water
Guillermo Del Toro'nun Venedik'ten Altın Aslan ödülüyle dönen filmi The Shape of Water, Soğuk Savaş'ın iyice kızıştığı 1963 yılında geçiyor.
Sally Hawkins, (Elisa Esposito) Michael Shannon (Richard Strickland) Richard Jenkins (Giles) Octavia Spencer (Zelda Fuller) Michael Stuhlbarg (Dr. Robert Hoffstetler) Doug Jones (Amphibian Man) gibi isimler yer alıyor.
-90. Akademi Ödülleri'ne 13 dalda adaylıkla damga vuran The Shape of Water (Suyun Sesi) Los Angeles'taki Dolby Tiyatrosu'nda düzenenlenen Oscar gecesinin galibi oldu. The Shape of Water (Suyun Sesi) En İyi Film, En İyi Yönetmen, En İyi Prodüksiyon Tasarımı ve En İyi Film Müziği ödüllerini kazandı.
-The Shape of Water (Suyun Sesi), 75. Altın Küre Ödülleri’ne 7 dalda aday olarak damgasını vurmuş; En İyi Müzik ve En İyi Yönetmen Altın Küre Ödülü kazanmıştı.
-23. Critics’ Choice Ödülleri’nde (Eleştirmenlerin Seçimi Ödülleri) de 14 adaylıkla adından söz ettiren 'Suyun Sesi', En İyi Film ve En İyi Yönetmen ödüllerinin kazandı.
-Venedik Film Festivali’nden Altın Aslan Ödülü’yle dönen film, Amerikan Yapımcılar Birliği Ödülü’nün de (Producers Guild of America Award) sahibi oldu.
“Tasavvuf edemem suretini
Çünkü her yerimi sardın
Varlığın gözlerimi doldurur aşkın ile
Kalbim oyunu bilmiş
Zira sen her yerdesin”

November F1c Prompts Day 23
Day 23 - Sight (person)
His attention on you feels like a lightning bolt; it has been since the beginning.
/
You remember the first party, the invite from the friend of a friend in his garage on a trip to Spain for the race. Only by chance that you had something nice enough to wear, all silver beads and tiered fringes like something from The Great Gatsby though if anyone says it like that you’ll scream because you barely liked the book never mind the movie and maybe even bringing it was a mistake, and…
“Danny, you should meet my friends.”
Zing
His eyes were like honey, all over you even as he said hi to everyone equally as politely. You ducked off to get another drink and the bartender wouldn’t let you pay because then his arm was on the bar next to you.
“I didn’t get your name.”
(He did, it was just an excuse to pick up your hand and brush his lips against it, say ‘enchante’ with sparkling eyes; you caught the victory in them once you laughed)
“Sorry, that was cheesy.”
“I don’t think you’re sorry at all.” You accused, with a smile.
He laughed again and that was the most dangerous feeling, how much you wanted to keep making him laugh. “Busted.”
/
You keep waiting for it to change, for it not to feel like such a physical sensation when his eyes land on you. It doesn’t matter if it’s across the room at a party-
You still feel out of place, a little. It’s not that you don’t get along with the other driver’s wives and girlfriends, you’re just in a weird spot between all of them. They’re younger and stunning, budding influencers (and you’re friendly with their boyfriends because Daniel is friendly with everyone and some of them don’t like that), or they’re older and more settled, married with kids or in vastly different lines of work.
Geri likes you though, if she’s there she’ll go out of her way to catch you up on the kids and the donkeys (who she still calls Max and Daniel even though it makes Christian groan – it makes her smirk even while her eyes are wide and innocent and she says ‘I thought you were serious about their names, they’ll have a crisis if we change them now, I’ve been calling them that for years’) and whatever paddock gossip she hears.
But Geri isn’t here, and neither are the Sky team – Natalie will let you stay with her all night and keep you just as involved in conversation as Daniel would (you could tell why they got along instantly), and Naomi is partial to people watching from the corner just as much as you are when you need to recharge.
At least Martjin is here this time, holding court where you can blend in with the crowd near him, make Lando laugh with an offhand comment, and try not to think about how much your feet hurt from your heels.
Then you feel it and you look up and Daniel smiles at you from across the room like he was waiting for you to notice and it’s fine, it’s all worth it.
or after he’s crossed the finish line at a race
Blake uses you like a battering ram to get through the people and you want to kiss him for it, actually. The orange sea of the McLaren garages parts easily for you and all he has to do is keep his hand wrapped in yours until you’re at the front next to Michael.
He turns halfway to see who’s at his elbow and then yells at the realisation it’s you, wraps his huge arms around your shoulders and lifts you clear off the ground in his own excitement.
You’re crying in huge, gasping breaths but the feeling is euphoric.
“Hey…hey grab Zak or Andreas, if you can, I’ll get Grace and everyone on facetime.” Blake shouts near your ear when Michael finally puts you back on your feet.
The cars are noisy even as they idle, before they’re switched off, but it’s almost like it floats above everything. It feels surreal after so long, and if it’s like that for you, you can’t imagine what it’s like for him.
Even with only his visor open you can hear him yelling, and you know he sounds giddy with excitement, and then surprised, when Michael grabs him and once they’ve hugged he plants you right there, where he can see.
Daniel shouts again and then his arms are around you like a vice, so you’re not self-conscious holding him back just as tight. “I’m so proud of you.” It’s somewhere in the vicinity of his ear, so you hope he hears (you think his shoulders shake a little, under your hands).
Or just across the apartment.
You’re unpacking because you’ve finally done it - said fuck it and moved into his place in Monaco. But it’s not like…moving in with Daniel isn’t just moving in in Monaco. Which, you defend even in your head, is why it had taken so long. Because it’s moving in in LA, and in Perth, and the place in London you’d agreed on when your lease on the cosy little place in Camden you’d called home for the past few years ended.
That’s what had started the whole conversation.
It’s not that it doesn’t make sense, because it does. It makes so much sense. He’d come ready to convince you the hard way, like you were going to argue about it, even though you could count on one hand the amount of actual arguments you’ve had ever. You spend so much time together anyway, and travelling to do it, that you’re living out of suitcases and with shared dressers and wardrobes, and buying things for each other’s places, and are just generally ingrained in the fabric of each other’s lives.
You feel his eyes on you as you unpack your stuff into the study, which is arranged so you have half each, the print of album covers and texts ready to be hung above his desk, and you look up, searching.
You might imagine it but it’s almost like he blushes at being caught, lingering in the doorway.
“What’s up?”
Daniel shakes his head, leaning more fully against the doorframe now that you’ve seen him. “Nothing. Just…looking.”
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer.” You tease, looking away to stack your notebooks the way you like them on your desk.
“Rude.” He breathes, arms folded over his chest. “Anyway, I don’t have to, do I.” When you look up again his smile is almost nervous, a rare moment of actual vulnerability, even with the people he’s closest with (especially, sometimes). “‘Cause you’re here now. Like. Permanently.”
You stop and look at him properly, letting the feeling of his full attention wash over you. It’s still the same, even if the electricity is like a background hum through familiarity, now. “C’mere.” He moves almost before the word leaves your mouth, through the room and stops in front of you, all golden tan and bright shorts and oversized shirt – comfy, at home. You wrap your arms around his waist from where you’re sitting, bury your face in his stomach. Gently (almost reverently) you feel his thumb brush the tattoo behind your ear. “Permanently.” You affirm, when you pull your head back and look up at him, chin resting on his stomach now.
There’s something to be said for having your person right there, you think, throwing him a smile in the bathroom mirror while you brush your teeth.

Robbie Williams and his tiger pants🐅
This is Robbie, you seen his Netflix documentary?omg it was amazing , I’m gonna go into his chart a little bit placements ,not transits , of course you know he’s a Aquarius sun , which is so the “rock dj video” and how it ends , when I was younger the end of the video was banned because it was too much , he ends up ,ripping his skin. Off to muscle and then at end he rips that off and is skeleton that is so Aquarius to me the supernatural almost of it all , the tiger pants he loves to show off that’s his Leo ♌️ rising !!the showing off and just being Robbie ,and the facts ,hes just Robbie , he got all the fun , but I see his ♏️ Scorpio moon 🌑,like no other celeb when I watched it he was very shy in my opinion,,, and never being able to escape it ,when he really wants get out in so much of it and that’s why they ,do this he seems to me have learning disability, which is cool,he couldn’t read or write 🖋️ I don’t think 🤔, so yes I saw Robs vulnerability, and the bullying he got for his weight Jesus rob was never big just normal like my dad.
Even when he was a little bigger but come on , and then the whole business, with Geri halliwell and the paps which he had no idea about ,she was the one who did it every time , he was vulnerable and I was huge Geri fan .the paps told rob it was Geri , and I hear ,George Michael , and posh spice said the same . He’s a Scorpio moon she’s cancer moon I was with a cancer moon 🌒 as Scorpio one and , they can sometimes take advantage and not tell u whole story ,yet u feel u can tell them the world ,and was like she wanted to tell him the ,and listen about it ….. very sad 😢 because he believed it was he said he doesn’t now .
He has many 7th house placements so I see the annoying Libra energy too unfortunately , which was little annoying , u can see it with the showing off as him he’s starting to look a little like Freddie Starr,I’m so glad he is happy ,family man ,,,,,he was amazing in this world he took so much shit so Robbie ,you do have my respect even in your tiger 🐯 pants .

"Beter Böcek" Geri Dönüyor: "Beetlejuice 2" Sinemalarda!
Tumblr media

Hala hissedebiliyorken… İyi seyirler…"

Zor zamanlar güçlü adamlar yaratır.
Güçlü adamlar iyi zamanlar yaratır.
İyi zamanlar zayıf adamlar yaratır.
Ve zayıf adamlar zor zamanlar yaratırlar.
“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”
= G. Michael Hopf - Zor zamanlar =
Sanırım, iyi zamanlarda yaşayan, zayıf kişiler olduğumuzu kabullenmemiz gerek.
İşler zorlaştığında cesur insanlar güçlenir.
Onların gücü güzel zamanlar getirir.
Ama her şey kolay olunca insan zayıflar.
Ve zayıf insanlar zor zamanları geri getirir.
Unutmayın, zorluklarla yüzleşmek bizi daha güçlü kılar!

ROYAL DISS
Snubbing the King: Why Don’t Big Stars Want to Perform at Charles’ Coronation?
A number of artists have turned down offers to perform at King Charles' coronation in May. Some theorize that the royal family's recent 'PR disasters' are partly to blame
BY HANNAH EWENS
MARCH 1, 2023

King Charles III doesn't understand why no one wants to come to his party. SAMIR HUSSEIN/WIREIMAGE
IN 1997, AFTER attending a Royal Gala evening, Geri Halliwell kissed Prince Charles on the cheek. According to royal protocol and etiquette, you’re only allowed to shake a royal’s hand, so the scandalous moment landed on the front pages of newspapers and went down in pop culture history. Now, instead of daring Ginger Spice to kiss Charles for a second time, The Spice Girls are avoiding him altogether.
The group is among a number of British pop artists who have turned down the opportunity to play at his coronation in May. Adele, Harry Styles, Robbie Williams, and Elton John were also reportedly asked to play and refused the offer. When Rolling Stone asked why, the teams for all those artists declined to comment, bar Elton John’s, who confirmed he was asked but couldn’t play due to scheduling issues. Musicians used to practically line up outside the palace to perform at any major royal event, but that has changed. The public is left wondering: Will any major star agree to play King Charles III’s coronation?
“The Nineties were so different in British pop culture. It was New Labour, everyone was playful and being a bit cheeky,” explains Michael Cragg, author of Reach For The Stars, a book about Nineties and ‘00s British pop. But, Cragg says, “that cheekiness absolutely isn’t here anymore. Now we really want to know who people are and the version of the Royal family that we’ve learned of recently through Prince Harry’s book and how the Prince Andrew scandal was handled: the reality is awful. You could not be the biggest band in the world now and walk up and plant a kiss on them and it still work.”
To perform at a royal event in 2023 would be to align yourself with blatant scandal. The recent allegations regarding Prince Andrew’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and an alleged sexual relationship with one of Epstein’s victims are still fresh in people’s minds. And so is Andrew’s disastrous 2019 BBC Newsnight interview about said claims. But before people had a chance to reconcile their feelings about Andrew, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle publicly announced that they were stepping down from royal duties. In the years since, Harry and Markle have levied several accusations against the royal family and the UK press, claiming their respective treatment of Markle led to fears for her mental and physical health. The discourse and growing divide between the couple and the Institution has been well documented in Harry’s 2023 tell-all memoir Spare and the couple’s Netflix series Harry & Meghan.
“The royal family has faced a number of PR disasters in recent times, and anyone performing at the show would have to consider whether there would be a backlash from appearing amongst their fans,” says Simon Jones, PR to Little Mix, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson.
On that same note, it would be a laughingly straightforward decision to decline an offer to perform for many artists. Kingsley Hall of political band Benefits, whose 2022 anti-monarchy single “Flag” was number one on the Official UK vinyl the week of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, explains of the British cultural temperature, “We’ve had so much exposure and negative exposure of the Royal family – jubilees, weddings, fallings out, accusations of racism, notable deaths, someone being accused of being a sexual predator – in what I would classify as a short space of time. People are sick of it and probably won’t be involved for that reason.”
For many millennial and Gen Z fans in the UK in particular, Royalism is a dirty idea. Meg, head of a leading British music PR company, notes that both Styles and Adele are at points in their careers where they need to define themselves beyond a successful decade in music. “For them right now, storytelling is really important,” says Meg, whose real/full name has been withheld by request. These big symbolic associations carry a lot of weight and literally go down in history books in bold and underlined. I can understand why there’d be a big PR discussion around artists doing it or not.”
Whereas the public had previously seen the Queen as a longstanding grandmother of the nation, Charles is not the country’s grandfather so much as a blank emblem of the royal family. “ I don’t know what there is to gain for artists by associating with him,” says Meg. “With the Queen, she was fab and glamorous to some people. Charles doesn’t add anything — there’s not a legacy of his that anyone would want to align with. It’s televised, so a lot of people will hear your songs, sure, but in terms of long-term PR strategy, I don’t know if performing would add positively to an artist’s narrative unless they were staunchly pro the monarchy.”
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment. Rolling Stone also reached out to the BBC, which is organizing the coronation.
Crucially, this coronation is happening in a year when the UK’s cost of living crisis has dangerously peaked. Ellie (whose real/full name has been withheld by request), founder of a British pop music PR company, says, “Strip back the gold and red cloak, and you have a country where parents are choosing between feeding their kids or keeping them warm. How much money is the coronation costing the taxpayer? It feels like a political statement to play.”
Each artist who declines will naturally have their own political motivations based on their Britishness. As Adele superfan Grace Martha from London notes, Adele is a proud champion of being working class from Tottenham, one of the most ethnically diverse areas in Britain. “The pomp and money this coronation is costing doesn’t represent her values at all,” says Martha. “This issue is so specific to our culture; Americans might think, ‘Oh, she’s from London and a cockney, why wouldn’t she do it?’ But they don’t understand the nuances of different areas, cultures, and identities here. She’s for the ‘everyday person,’ and the everyday younger person in London doesn’t rate the royal family anymore.”
The colonialism of the British empire has been a major discussion point over the past two years. That is behind the struggle to secure A-List British acts, says Hak Baker, a musician from London: “Any situation where I’d bow to an openly racist colonial imperial system that refuses to apologise for its past and eradication of my people’s history I’d rather avoid with a barge pole. We are more aware of the past now. They are not exempt from recognition. I think they’re going to have a hard time.”
Han Mee of Manchester band Hot Milk agrees emphatically, calling it an “outdated institution” that does not represent modern Britain. “Leave it in the past, it’s as old, aged, and expensive as the whiskey that props it up but without the strength and merriment,” she says. “I liked Liz, but it should have died with her – the coronation is a kick in the teeth when this country has never been more of a shit show.”
The real question is: Why do the royals need this entertainment value at all? “No one’s talking about the date or the guests,” considers Meg. “The big headlines around the coronation right now are which musicians are in and which musicians are out, which underlines the importance of music and what the symbolism is of an endorsement from one of these megastar artists.” It appears that in 2023 the royal family needs musicians more than musicians need them.
